Paris Fashion Week Trend - Graphic
I adore this! This style is timeless, very easy to pull off and always look (no pun intended) sharp!

Highline inspiration
Every now and then, I feel totally out of inspiration, fashion and otherwise, I feel like I've just been doing the same things, listening to the same music, wearing the same clothes. The best way to get out of thus rut is to get out of the house and watch people for a couple of hours, preferably with a camera.
And one of the best places to do this in NYC is the highline, a perfect mixture of urban view with islands of nature, of locals and tourists, of young hip artists and office workers on lunch breaks, of elderly couples and young families, romantic dates and people looking for a moment of solitude in the crowd.
The highline looks totally different in different seasons, in moves from stark gray at winter, to all light green in spring to beautiful foliage tones in fall. and in the last days of summer? it's beautifully colorful with flowers, changing leaves and greens.
RED
Creating a strong graphic fashion statement, especially teamed with black and white.
Neutral and Gray
A subtle combination of gray, taupe, charcoal, brown, olive green, sage, caramel and coffee, for a muted but not at all boring outfit.
Pink Accent
For a sweet whimsical informal outfit!

White after labor day
Italy does not celebrate labor day, and so, the crown at Milan Fashion Week has absolutely no problem with wearing white after labor day. Perfect for this still summery fall, white goes with everything, it's pretty, somewhat formal and aside of the chance of wine\ketchup stain very easy to wear.
White Top
Even a white slouchy top can be extremely versatile. just in the fine line between comfy and elegant, it can be pulled into a laid back natural hippie outfit or pushed into a total rocker outfit with leather pants and kick ass sunglasses.
White as main color
Want to do white all the way but afraid to look washed up? a cool summery white dress matched with a small masculine dark jacket and purse, and red lips will keep you looking feminine without looking too demure. (plus, a matching dog always help).

Check out those awesome ladies, manage to look serious, comfortable, pulled together and fashion forward in their white monochrome outfit.

Trend Alart: Plaid
Just the right mixture of business and pleasure, plaids reminds me equally of a great oxford shirt and a picnic blanket. And so, plaid are perfect for fashion week, which dress-wise can go anywhere between business, pleasure and both.
Plaid for beginners
Plaids can be perceived, as far as an outfit goes, as either a pattern or a solid. they can go both very formal and very wild. A wonderful way to introduce a pattern to an otherwise solid wardrobe.
Want to try it and not sure how? it's always good to start small, with a hat, a small jacket or a beautiful architectural purse.
Another options is to go for either a top, bottom or dress in 2 similar tones so that from afar, the pattern looks almost solid, rather then a loud print.

Intermediate plaid
That was easy, right? so what next?! how about a much bolder plaid, larger using colors that just gives that wonderful vacation feel.
I love the way she made this outfit feels so much fun, with the plaid pants and statement whimsical jewelry and still kept it work related with the buttons of the shirt buttoned all the way to the top.
Plaid for pros
Do not try this at home unless you are a professional stylist or a really brave person. Plaid all over!

The Makeup Show
I was really excited to check out The Makeup Show, I mean, what's more exciting then meeting creative people, see new treands and colors, know before everyone what the cosmetic companies are launching and get to say thank you to some people who makes my everyday life so much more colorful and pretty.
Sadly, it wasn't all I expected it to be. It was very very crowded and was mostly about sals of products, rather then exploring new things, and it was too packed and loud to make friends or even have a conversation.
Still, it was a rather colorful day...

The show before the show
Some people think the front row is more important, or at least entertaining, then the show. Other's get really upset by the amount of attention the front row gets and feels as if it's taking fashion from being a form of art to being a gossip ridden "Scene".
I'm somewhere in between, I don't really care about who was sitting in the front row but I want to know what they all wore.
Here are a couple of really nice examples from A'Detacher show last NYFW

Fun Day at D&A
Going to D&A is like a visit to a candy museum, you are looking at the coolest, newest most awesome things but can't wear or buy any of it!
Designer & Agents is a small fashion trade show that take place right after NYFW. in which smaller companies, up and coming designers, showrooms and difusion lines can show their collection to potential buyers without having to go through the effort and considerable expense of having a fashion presentation \ runway show.
I especially like this event because in most of the booths you get to meet and talk to the actual designer, and I feel l seeing the person behind a brand always gives me a better understanding of what the collection is about.
Also, it's a really nice way to see how fashion forward people dress for a long and very tiering work day.

Subway Style
People watching, especially at public transportation is one of my favorite things. And out of all the trains, the L train is the best...
Love this guy's sense of color, you have to be pretty confident to wear both teal pants and pink strips beanie in the same outfit.
Cambridge Satchel Company Gold Mini Satchel makes any outfit looks cool.
Really great example of how effective a monochrome look is. No one item in this outfit is out of the ordinary but the combination of all Olive outfit looks both pulled together and cool.
